Golden Bull Award 2008

We won the 2008 Golden Bull Award. (http://www.goldenbullaward.com/) . It was an amazing night held in Genting. A very grand event that surprisingly Najib officiate. The nights started at 7 as I gather at the meeting room with all the other winners. Felt so tiny as most of them were companies like Old Town, CIARA, BIG House Management, Muar Ban Lee Engineering, Kaliman Timber Corparation,Everbest, LIMA Bintang Logistic, INDOMA, Jesin Group, Goodnite, ABLAZEGEM, LAZO GEMS and many many more. During the "chit chat" many of them talk about the political system, economics, how many companies they have, how much turnover they had in 2007. There is this guy, who is like in his 50 ish, he managed 5 companies across ASIA and his annual turnover is 100 million USD. Huh... shocking! well to me that is... to all of them, it is just like a walk in the park. There is this one guy in the early 30ish, doing GEMS and his turnover is like a small country's budget plan.
Sort of understand that I have a long long way to go from here. Some were giving advise. For me, I was one of the youngest there and its kind of intimidating to be with all of them.

At 8.30 we line up to walk the red carpets and was usher in to our table. And for that 1 night, all eyes on you... oh, and the DPM as well. The Presentation was good. The entertainers was... so so... and the food SUCKS!!

It was till around 10.30, half way eating the prawns, that they push us to one corner and prepare our self to receive the award. Quickly bottom up my coat and away me go....

I was in the 7th position. The walk up and to the middle of the stage was a fright. Minds keep telling me NOT to fall, NOt to Fall, NOT TO FALL!!!

Shake hands with the DPM and smile for the camera. The award was like my nephew weights. And let me tell you its make from a clear crystal with gold plated bull sitting on the top. I had to stand up there while waited for 93 more winners to received the award.

The nights ends with a powerful bang and we took many pictures. It was indeed a night to remember!!!

Half year GONE!!!!

OMG .... I just realise that the first half of the year is ending. Time fly so fast that NOW we don't even see how fast we are going and what have we actually accomplished . It's scary to know that as of end of June, we have only another 182 days left before we all closed the book on 2009.  So far what have I and the team of people actually achieved? That is the question where I find it very hard to answer. Well that is business wise.... but, in my family wise... well Alexander is growing up ...fast.  So this is a wake up call for myself. Stop messing around and move it.  We have 182 days left!!!!
