Court in Malaysia

I was called in to testify in an ex-staff case yesterday. Wow.... the things that happen in our Malaysian court are really amazing. Let me share with you the experience i had. Firstly, the letter from the court stated 9AM and when we got there, there is NO indications of the case number mention in the Notice board. So once there is no indication, means you cant find the court room. So we went around like crazy and found the lawyers in charge. She told us that it is the room end of the block.... so we walk there... and again, the notice board on the outside is NOT indicating any cases happening. Then.... we were informed the court will start in 10.30AM... OKOK... 1and a half hour delay... normal lo. Since this is Malaysia and I presumed the judge will also be having his mamak tea break. So we went to have our mamak tea break as well. No point waiting. So then we arrived in the court room at 10.30 am SHARP!. And all the people is there, lawyers, witnesses, and some lawyers assistance. So .... we waited again.... and at 11.45AM..... toooot! the judge comes in. All rise... bow to the judge and all seated. The lawyers mention their names and law firm they represent and the JUDGE himself wrote everything down.... yes... he did it himself. There is 2 ladies sitting below him and the 2 also wrote everything down. So this takes hell of a long time to have every word documented in the court. There is this Doctor that testify to the court and mention on what happen to this ex-staff of mine in the accidents.... broken jaw, nose and all other stuffs and the jusge wrote it down one by one. The worst part is the doctor was talking in medical terms and they have to really wrote it down.

Then came the Sarjan ( traffic police) same thing happen..... description was being written down one by one. And  I was beginning  to feel sleepy and stiff in the neck. Court room chair is NOT comfortable. So after all the SLOOOW explanation .... it is time for me. Took the oath and gives my statement. The other lawyer cross examine me.... ask me a very stupid question. Who are you? and is there a proof that you are the Managing Director of the company. I mean you guys sepena me and now ask me if i am the boss and did i bring any proof to say that I am the boss. Ask my ex-staff la!.

After that, lunch was up and away he goes. So now poor to those people behind me, the court will start at 3PM. And just imagine, they came in at 9AM.

@#$%^&*!!!

Half year GONE!!!!

OMG .... I just realise that the first half of the year is ending. Time fly so fast that NOW we don't even see how fast we are going and what have we actually accomplished . It's scary to know that as of end of June, we have only another 182 days left before we all closed the book on 2009.  So far what have I and the team of people actually achieved? That is the question where I find it very hard to answer. Well that is business wise.... but, in my family wise... well Alexander is growing up ...fast.  So this is a wake up call for myself. Stop messing around and move it.  We have 182 days left!!!!
